In this chapter, we learn that the owner of the dream sucking snake is Lin--the dream demon who has hidden the snake in his body for so long. Lin wakes up to find the sucking snake inside his body. He's excited to see it, but he can't figure out how it could be him. The sucking snake belongs to his uncle, who gave him one when he was a little boy. Lin's uncle gave the snake to him as a gift, and he's never touched it since. He wonders why the snake is in his own body, and why it's labeled "Lin--his name" . He also wonders why he and the other guys are always fighting with him. He tells them that they're no match for him, and that he'll make them pay for it. He warns them that their parents are coming home for their birthday, so they should come with him first. This isn't a normal snake, he says, because it can absorb human energy and store it in dreams. It can also be used on humans, he explains, in the future . It's just a toy, though, because the snake has no real life.
