In this chapter, we meet yi Kui, who has just woken up from his nightmare. He's worried that his fever has gone up, and that his friend has left the store. Worried that he's not human, he asks if he can comfort him at a loss. Unsure of what to do, the two of them discuss what happened the last time they were alone together. They both fell asleep in the middle of nowhere, and there was a lot of pink smoke in the air. Confused, we ask if this is the same thing that happened the first time they met, and what happened to the pink smoke?
