The scene opens with a tap on a tap in the distance. It's the dream demon, and it's looking pretty good. The narrator tells us that he's here to take the group around the city. He wants to know if there's a place where he can buy a fork rabbit, which is a symbol of friendship between brother and sister. He also wants to ask Lin for directions to the place. Lin is kind enough to give him directions, and the two of them go off to find the rabbit. Lin tells the group that he saw a man who asked for directions, but he didn't know where he was. Lin then tells the man that he has two options: he can stay and die, or he can eat his dream demon. Lin explains that he and mian are both dream demons, and that they're trying to find a target to eat his dreams. Lin also explains that the dream demons are able to see recent dreams of humans, so they can figure out which human beings might be a good target. Lin says that if he hadn't taken his protection talisman with him, he wouldn't have taken it with him. He thanks Lin for taking care of him.
