About This Chapter
In this chapter, Master Fugui jia explains that he and his brother have always relied on each other, and that they have worked very hard to reform their zhe shi hall. He tells the story of how they worked so hard to become stronger, and how they taught themselves to use their internal forces. He says that his technique of lion roar requires internal forces, and he says that he didn't notice this when he was fighting against his brother, because he was stunned before he could use it. Master FuGui jia says that if his brother wants to use his internal forces to heal his injury, he should go to a doctor. He explains that doctors are useless to all practitioners of martial arts, and the only way for a person to heal an injury is to use an internal force from a martial arts novel. The only way to do this, he says, is to pay back one's own coin. He adds that he is willing to join the gang since he is so sincere, but before that he has to clarify something. He wonders if the two men know about professions such as painters and martial artists, and wonders if they can learn different styles of fighting from the same basic skills. He concludes that the best candidate for learning the internal force is himself.
