When they arrive at the orphanage, the girls are eager to eat, but their mother scolds them for being so eager. She tells the girls that they can eat anything they want, but that they must eat more if they are to grow up tall. The girls are relieved to learn that their mother is a boy and that they will not have to eat anything but vegetarian noodles when they reach the orphanage
