In this chapter, the protagonist tells the audience that he is a former member of a famous martial arts sect. He has lost all of his money and is now destitute. He asks the audience to help him get back on his feet. The protagonist explains that he wants to be a disciple of the leader of another martial art sect. The leader of the former sect wants to fight the protagonist in a duel, but the protagonist does not want to accept the invitation. He wants to find a young active and energetic sect instead. He tells the protagonist that the former leader will fight him easily, but that the protagonist will have to fight him in order to get his money back
