This chapter opens with a flashback to the beginning of the previous chapter, in which we learn that Luo had tried to block the carrion of the monster. He had been exposed to a variety of poisons before, and he had been able to resist them all. He tells us that the monster has set up a trap on the island in order to trap people in one net. He then tells us about the training ground where they train to kill the poisonous beasts. He says that the survival rate for such small children is very high, and that this is the end of humanity as we know it.
