He says that he came to the city to start his own business, and that his father decided to let him do so, rather than spending money to keep him in Luo's care. He explains that he did not want to rely on his father, but rather came to start the business because he wanted to do it on his own. Luo tells him that he is more than a family to him, and even if he has to lose a lot of money, he is willing to pay for it all.
