About This Chapter
The sixth brother asks to be taken to a safe location, but the princess tells him that he has been shot. The princess tells the sixth brother to report to the grand master that her son has been killed. The prince tells the princess that he was hit by an arrow and that the princess is dressed in night-spirit clothing. He tells her that she is the princess of the west and that he is the prince of the east. He says that he did not know that his brother would be responsible for the whole thing. He also blames his brother for spreading the rumor that his blood was needed to find the treasure. Furthermore, he blames him for planning the entire golden ball event and for allowing the princess to begin the rebellion earlier than expected. He then accuses his brother of being the one who had poisoned him in the cloud pool where the duke and the princess prayed for a child. This makes sense, he says, because he had been poisoned before. He adds that he had placed some cold poison in the pool to hasten the miscarriage, but it did not work.
