The next morning, the young master and the sixth brother discuss the prince's whereabouts. The young master decides to take his badge and go look for the prince. He thinks it would be better to go to the market place in the western part of the city, where there are a lot of foreigners there. The master believes that the assassins are among the foreigners there to attend the exchange conference. He decides to go out and hide the badge from his father and his brother. He plans to visit the market in the northern city of Lanjin, where he thinks that the prince will look defenseless. He wants to go shopping at the market so that he can make some money off of the prince, who looks wealthy and defenseless. Young master suggests that they trick the prince into believing that they are giving him porridge. He also suggests that the brothers allow the sixth's daughter to serve as a maid at the palace. The sixth brother agrees to let the girl work as his maid.
