Lin tells us that he's kept a secret from his mother ever since she left him, and that he designed a "gu bewitching" for her. Lin says that he finally figured out a way to change his appearance without using a mask. Lin is shocked to find out that there are two people pretending to be him. He's so shocked that he can't believe that they're actually the same person. Lin tries to explain that his master asked him to make the disguise so that he wouldn't have to worry about anything once he got back to daqi, but Lin is so confused that he doesn't know what to do. He tells Lin to stop copying the other person, and he says he'll punish her for it.
