In this chapter, we learn that the man who cannot be seen is Hiroshi Sonoyama, and that he knows Hiroshi's name. He knocks on the door of the station, but the door is locked, and no one is able to enter. Hiroshi asks the doorman to open the door, and the man tells him that the building is under surveillance. He tells Hiroshi that he must go to the police station to report any suspicious activity. The doorman says that he has no idea what he is doing, but he does know that he cannot see the man's face. The man says that it is as if the entire incident has not happened, that someone is responsible for the accident that has caused this to happen to his eyes. He says that the details of his birth are completely shrouded, and he wants to know if there is a cheater in the station. He asks Hiroshi if he is going to kill him, and Hiroshi replies that he is not going to do so. He goes on to say that they have confirmed the deaths of the two guards on duty, and they will have to continue their plan to change society. He also says that there are no cameras on the station and that no one knew that Hiroshi was there. He adds that he heard a ringing noise, and then he passed out. He wonders what he means by the next step. He has just received a message from a hotel in which he says he is just a kid.
