About This Chapter
"A false wish chirp chirp chirp" is the title of this chapter's opening soliloquy. It's also the name of the book's epigraph. It says something like, "I've always wanted to take the hands of an elemental. That's why you kind out" . And that's exactly what we're about to find out. It turns out that sylph is the knight who's going to save Tenebrae. And lo and behold, loukios has come out of the forest. He's got a message for tenebrae: don't associate with humans. She's already accepted him in her heart, and now she's not going to let him go. She needs to get rid of him ASAP, pronto. She doesn't want her sister to tell the queen about it, either. She wants to keep it a secret from her sister, but she can't do that now. Loukios says that he's just following a command from the lady, and he'd like to know why. He says that his power is the same as that of the wind, and the wind blows freely, like a greeting from humans to those they love. He also says that humans are curious about the elementals, because they've experienced the tragedy of wars in the past. They want to use their powers for their own ends, and that'll be the end of the world as we know it. He wants to know what's wrong with the humans, so that he can help them make a better, fairer world. And he wants to help him, so he can learn from him. He tells her that he and his fellow elementals have joined forces
