It's been a while since we've seen Dr. Fogg, and now he's back. He's a little worried about his old friend, the woman who took him in when he was an orphan. He asks her if she's really worried about him, and she says that she is. She's changed a lot over the past two years, but she still has a soft spot for him. He tells her that he owes her something, and that he can't do anything about it. She asks him to stay away from her, and he says that he'll explain more later on. He says that the prince of the Lapis nation isn't as bad as he thought he was, and so he'd better get out of the way. Dr. Gervais is all, "I never imagined you'd still live" . He doesn't want to be associated with a country that's not his own, so he tells her to get away. He warns her to be careful of the prince, who's coming after her. He also warns her that she'll get caught if she tries to fight him with her magic powers, which are inferior to the prince's magic powers. The prince is going to catch up to her soon enough, he says, and if she can use her magic to stop him, she can do the same thing with her mind's help. She tells him that she saw him fight off the mist at the training range, but that he won't be able to do it with his mind alone. She wants to know if he can use his mind to use his magic again, so she tells him to focus on his magic.
