About This Chapter
In this chapter, we learn that Roxane's fiance, rocheford, is not her fiance, but that she is engaged to the Prince of France. She asks the man if he has anything to say, and he says that his sister has been acting strange. He says that he lost his cool there, and that he just wants to test out his sorcery. The man asks if he is familiar with the concept of aether, and Roxane says that she has never heard of the concept. She tells the man that her level of magic is so low that she almost completely cannot use it. She says that the higher the person's magic, the more he or she obstructs the flow of air into his or her body. The higher the one's power, the greater the amount of air one can take in. She adds that she can use aether when she has low magic power, and she says that when she is calm, she can control her magic too.
