About This Chapter
It's been a while since we've seen the beast, but it's still alive and kicking. We're not sure if the beast is a deer or a boar, but we're guessing it is. The beast is still alive, though, and the two of them are still hanging out together, enjoying each other's company. The two men talk about how much fun it is to hang out with them, and how much money they can make from the beast's existence. They're both pretty excited about the idea of starting a business, but they're also worried about whether or not they'll be able to capture the beast and kill it. They both feel guilty about the fact that they lost their companions in the fog, and they wonder if they should just hide and wait for the other disciples to come back. They don't want to be stuck in the woods, so they go back to the cave, where they find a large stone lying in front of them. It turns out that the stone is a boar's corpse, but the two men can't figure out why the stone turned into a corpse. They wonder if the stones are really animal corpses, and if they mistook the corpses for stones.
