In this scene, Su Min learns that her ex-boyfriend, Lingzi, has returned from his long absence. He asks Su Min why she left, and Su Min pretends that she and Lingzi don't recognize each other. Su Min is so shocked that she can't believe that she's been in love with Lingzi for so long, and that he's even gone so far as to search for her in the middle of the night. She asks the director what he'll do if she has the chance to kiss Lingzi in a play. The director tells her to use a tape recorder to record the kiss, and to ask the director to make more exciting scenes.
