He then tells the friend that he is informed that his work has been cancelled for the weekend, and he is afraid to go out with the group since he has just met a "hot woman like Miss humph." The narrator thanks the friend for giving him a drink, and tells him that he will lose face if he does not drink with him. The two drink together, and when the narrator realizes that the man is drunk, he tells the man to carry him to the next meeting. The man tells the narrator that he cannot believe that he would be so drunk, as he used to carry a blank piece of paper with him, and now he carries the man with him
