At the opening of the second act of the movie, Ziyi and Liyan begin to speak together, and Ziyi tells Liyan that he has been acting with Ziyi since the beginning of their relationship, and that they have been working together for the past year and a half. Ziyi says that they will continue to work together in the future, and he thanks Ziyi for his determination. After Ziyi leaves, Liyan wonders if the point of his hard work has been to finally meet Ziyi.
