About This Chapter
In this chapter, the narrator tells us that he's been dreaming about the wedding he'll have today. He tells us how he and his fiance fell in love with each other, and how they ended up getting married. He also tells us about how he was cheated on by his fiance's cousin, who didn't even have his name on his birth certificate. The narrator says that he hopes that his fiance will treat his wife well for the rest of her life, and that she won't betray him. This is the first time that the fiance has addressed the narrator formally, and the narrator is thrilled. He asks his fiance if he really loves him, and he says yes. They're going to have children, and they're both going to grow old together, like grandma said. The wedding is going to be a big deal, but it's not going to involve any kind of agreement or anything like that. It's just a wedding for the two of them. The bride and groom are going to get married in front of their family and friends.
