The scene opens with the entrance of the company of Mr. Quan yuchen. He greets everyone and tells them that he does not have an appointment for them to meet with him. He tells one of the women to go up to see him, but she refuses, saying that she is busy with other people. He asks her to tell him that he is changing so fast that he would lose his job if he did not let her go up. She tells him that women nowadays are "such a joke" , thinking that they can land him with their pretty faces. Mr. quan tells her that he wants to see her for "serious business" and that she should not be fooled by the "foolish girl" who seduced her fiance the last time they met. He says that he has suffered because of the "debauched couple" and wants her to know that he will not fall in love with her again. He then asks her why she is there, and she says that she has to believe him. She then asks him why he is here, and he says that if he were not there, he would not know that she was "throwing mld at him" and "ll white black" . She asks him to remember to ask her out, and then he leaves.
