This short story is about a man who wishes to make a wish to a listener. The first wish is that his family will be rich. The second wish is to have his son come home. The third wish is for the family to be able to have a home of their own. The listener is shocked to find out that his wish has come true. He is also shocked to learn that the family has been shamed by the news that one of their employees has died in a meat grinder accident.
