The bug tells the story of how he fell in love with her. He tells her that he will inherit the magic of the witch and restore the area back to its original state. Shenmu and the bug return to university, where they continue their studies and romance. A few years pass, and she goes off to study in another city. The bug dies, and the two of them return to their hometown.
