The Moth and the Mountain Spirit arrive at the village. The Moth tells the girl that he has something important to tell the mountain spirit. He asks the girl to tell him where he is, and the girl says that she knows that the Mountain spirit is there, and that he probably has been "bewitched" by him. The Mountain Spirit says that the agreement that he and the witch made was that the witch would protect the place with him and the Moth would protect it with him.
