Back at school, the Governess is so upset that she has twisted her ankle and is afraid that someone will knock her out. The Governess tells her friend that she's going to take a detour and that she won't be able to see him again. She tells him to go back to class and then she'll take him home. She's not going to go home by herself, she tells him, because she can't bear the thought of him going back alone. This time, she promises to carry him on her back instead.
