The scene opens with a flashback to the previous day, when Hi-nao and Mi-Kumuru were discussing Mi's proposal to Hi-nanna. Mi-kumuru, who is now married, is still hanging out with his mother, who has just returned from a trip to the Galapagos Islands. The flashback shows Mi-kiu's reaction to the news of his marriage. He tells his mother that he wants to go abroad to study music, but he's worried about how much money it will take to do so. He asks his mother if she's on board with the idea, and she tells him that she'd be happy to send him a demo tape of her piano playing to a music school in Germany, where he'll be able to learn how to play at an advanced level. He's convinced that studying abroad will get him closer to his goal of becoming a professional musician. The scene ends with Mi-kuo's declaration that he'd like to be married someday.
