In this chapter, we learn that Hirokazu's lover, Aechi, is now married to Hiroyuki's father, and that the two have been living happily ever after. In the meantime, Hiroyuki has been working as a piano player. He's been studying for his role in the upcoming film, which he's cast to play in the lead role. The piano player, however, is not as good as he'd like to be, so he gives up his role and goes home to practice.
