In this short scene, the protagonist laments that he will have to leave his shop in two weeks because he is only allowed to stay in the shop for three months. He has to sell all his merchandise and the first person to go to the competition will be the first to leave. He is overwhelmed by the task at hand and feels that he has wasted a lot of money on his girlfriend. He begs the shop owner to pay him a little more for the hat he bought back in the beginning of the story. The shop owner reluctantly agrees to do so.
