Back at school, Shmoop runs out of money before he can finish his homework. He decides to go home and buy some food so that he won't have to worry about his mom getting mad when he gets home. He goes to the grocery store and finds that the prices are way too high. He asks the clerk if he can pay with a credit card, but the clerk tells him that he can't because his card has been declined. He begs the clerk to loan him some money, but he's not sure if he has friends or relatives to lend him money
