About This Chapter
The chapter ends with a toast to all of the people who have helped make the restaurant what it is today. The bartender and the owner of the establishment thank each other for their hard work and hospitality. The owner thanks the children for their kindness, and the father thanks his son for his hard work. The father tells his son to be good to his body and not to eat, as the food is not yet good enough for him. He tells the son that he threw a party the other day and the food was good, but the hangovers were bad. He warns the son not to call his father a dummy, as beer is good but you can only drink so much at one time. The son tells the father that he should learn what alcohol is good for, and he asks the bartender to give him a special glass of sake to go with the oysters. The oyster is so fresh and the sake is so good that it melts in his mouth. He says that he wishes he could drink too, but that he will not be able to do so for ten years.
