In this chapter, we learn that Nemo's sister, Ani, and her father, Inuzusika, are going to be having a picnic. Ani asks Nemo if he's decided where he wants to go, and Nemo says yes. He's been thinking about going to a restaurant, and Ani asks him if he remembers when Nemo went missing. He says he did, but Ani says he didn't mean to be mean. Ani says she's sorry she was so mean to Nemo, but she was hoping it would be a little different from the way it is now. Ani tells Nemo that she'd like to go to a potluck lunch party, but Nemo says he doesn't want to go because he'd rather have a crepe instead. He tells Ani to invite her to the picnic, and she agrees. Ani and Nemo have a little chat about food, and then Ani suggests that they make a sandwich. She's not sure if it'll be a good one, but it will be good enough for everyone. She tells Nemo she'll make a nicola sandwich, and he says he'll do the rest of the food for them. They make paper plates out of paper, and they write their names on them, so they can have their own food.
