About This Chapter
The narrator and his friends are going to a camping trip, and they're bummed that they didn't get to see their friends earlier. They're also bummed that their friend's sister isn't with them, because she's supposed to be at school. The narrator's friends are psyched to be going camping, since they've been looking forward to it for a long time. The kids are super hungry, and the narrator can't stop talking about how much he's been eating. He's so hungry that he can barely keep up with the food. The girls are super excited to go camping, but they don't really know what to do with themselves. They tease each other about how hungry they are and how much fun it's going to be to go to the beach. Finally, the girls decide to go for a walk, since the beach is so close to their house.
