The next morning, Ren tells Guppy that he's already told him not to use waterboarding on his men. He blames Ren for the mess that's been left by Ren's rash decision to let the men do whatever they want. He's also the one who caused Ren to lose consciousness in the first place, and Ren blames him for the mental breakdown that followed. Ren says that if Ren gets knocked unconscious by the waterboarding, he won't be able to get rid of him.
