He claims that he tricked gong-juren into swallowing the chicken, and that he lost his memory when the shock of the bite made him faint. He tells the narrator that he tested the monkey and found out that she was not aware of the connection between the stem-call therapy and the h-virtue-vaccine. The monkey's reaction was that she did not know about the connection, implying that she had no idea about it
