He tells us that he wants to put the new pants on the spare set of pants so that he can slip them into the pockets of his new clothes. He wants to make sure that the pants are tight, so that when he puts them on, they don't slip out of his sight. He also wants to show how tight he is, by making sure that he squeezes the pants
