In this chapter, we are introduced to a new character named "Blank Hitus" . He is a teacher at a school in Japan, and he has just accepted an offer to teach in the United States. He tells us that he has been thinking about turning down the offer, but then realizes that there are a lot of other teachers in Japan who have accepted the offer as well. He apologizes to the teacher, who is very kind to him. The teacher tells him that his presence at the school is reassuring to the students, and that he is welcome. He asks if something happened, and the teacher explains that he was thinking about a new training method for the men in his school. He says that he couldn't keep up with the training, and then he ended up making his student sick by making her practice the new methods. He feels sorry for her, but he can't figure out why she is holding back. He sighs, and a new member of the school, named "Splash," enters
