The next morning, Xinhua reports that the expedition army has been sent to kill Laohu and Mingqi. Mingqi tells Xinhua that he has sealed a deal with the government to procure the medicine that suppresses dark blood. He asks Xinhua if he can ask Mingqi for help in future, and Xinhua promises to do so. Xinhua then reports that Mingqi and Minghao are "really shameless" and that they serve their master "like a dog" . He then tells Mingqi that he can give him another job if he does good things for Xinhua, money, and power. He says that he doesn't like some of Mingqi's men, especially the one next to him, and that if he were killed, the family would not forgive him.
