In this chapter, we learn that the dawn war has been going on for 1,200 years. The dawn war was fought on the "bottom of the world" , the "eternal night continent" . The human race used all their power to defeat the dark tribe. The dark tribe is expelled, and the human race is established as the first empire. However, the natural resources of the continent are too harsh, and it becomes a garbage dump. In the end, the continent becomes a burial ground for the dead. The narrator tells us that the continent has never had abandoned children, because food is scarce.
