In this chapter, we learn that the master of herbs and trees, Shuyin, has been promoted to the rank of lieutenant. Shuyin explains that he can now make pills by himself, and that he will be able to refine medicine in the future when he is promoted. He also explains that there are some pills sold in the marketplace, but they are only for the purpose of refining medicine, so he will need to go to the market to buy them. He then tells us that he has bought some herbs and plants to make his pills more effective. He says that it is time for them to settle their differences, and he tells them that he is going to teach them a lesson. He asks if they are worried about the rules of the gate, and they reply that they are outside the clan, so they cannot blame anyone for their broken bones. He tells them to come any closer, or he will scream, and no one will save him if he screams here. He finally feels the time to get revenge, and says that he cannot blame himself for his broken bones, because he is not as skilled in medicine as the others.
