About This Chapter
In this chapter, we are introduced to the "Fragrant Cloud Mountain," the "Purple Pavilion Mountain," and the "Qingfeng Mountain" . We learn that each of these mountains has its own unique characteristics, and that they are located on different banks of the river. The first mountain, the fragrant cloud mountain, is located on the northern bank of the lingxi river, the second mountain on the southern bank, and the third on the eastern bank. It is a place of great beauty, and we are told that it smells so good that it feels like an "immortal" place. We are also told that the only aspect of training an outer disciple is luck and hard work. The only thing that the outer disciple needs to do is to visit the training place and take on a few tasks to learn his or her new skills. The outer disciple must complete the task at least once a day, and if he or she does not do so, then the task is to be taken back to the handymen area and the disciple will be sent back to his village.
