At the top of a mountain, two monks are playing chess. One is an older monk and the other is a younger monk. The older monk tells the younger monk that the boy he brought back is interesting and that he needs more refinement in his character. The younger monk tries to make fun of the older monk, but the old monk tells him not to make him laugh, as the boy's "character needs refinement." The old monk screams at the child to stop screaming, and the child screams back at him, saying that he does not want to die as a murderer. The child runs away from the monk, who is running away with a giant pot of boiling water on his back.
