The next morning, the group goes back to the office to discuss the results of the previous day's trial. The group is shocked to learn that the stove room was the focus of the entire group that day, and that many of the people in the room were "mad with poverty" to sell "outer disciple spots" . The supervisor has ordered his office to investigate the matter, and the rooster has not crowed yet. He tells the group that a few days before, nine of them had participated in the trial to promote handymen to "outer disciples" , and they all yawned and "participated" when they heard that they were being promoted. He then tells them that the supervisor will ask them one more question: "your stove room . . blocking the exit onto the road to trial . publicly selling Since you did it, I'll admit it." The group realizes that they are all part of the conspiracy to sell outer disciple spots, but they refuse to admit that they did it.
