This is a locked chapterChapter 29: Encounter (Part 1)
About This Chapter
This chapter's epigraph comes from a famous speech by a famous poet, Henry Wadsworth Longfellow. In this speech, Longfellow describes the power of the light and the heavy, and how they can be combined to create a divine power. He says that if he can use the light to lift heavy weight, then he will be able to use the same power to lift light weight. In other words, he can lift light and heavy at the same time, and that will create the same divine power as before. This is the only way he can accomplish this feat, he says, because the light is so powerful that it can lift heavy. He compares this power to a cauldron of purple qi, and says that he will use the cauldron to transform himself into an inner disciple.
