Even a father still wants his daughter-in-law to come visit him. The narrator tells us that he's going back to his job as a dishwasher. He's excited to see his daughter's new friends, but he can't bring himself to tell them that they're his new friends. He tells them that he doesn't want them to know that he has changed. He wants them to be happy with the way they've treated him. He also tells them to ask his wife to look after their children.
