She tells him that she heard from the Governess's teacher that he's complaining a lot lately, and that she doesn't like him for it. He's crying himself to sleep, she tells him, and she says that he seems to be causing a ruckus at school. She says that the wind is making the flap in the kitchen "muddy" and that it's hard for her son to play in it. She's worried that the scratch on her son's bum bum is a result of him playing in it too much. She asks her son what he did today, and he tells her that he was outside and that something happened with his friends. He tells her to calm down and that he will be coming home soon.
