Even a father still wants it, says the narrator, and he's not the only one who wants it. He's the one who's been trying to get everyone to come over for dinner when their parents come home from work. The narrator tells us that even though his parents are always late, they always invite them over to dinner. He also tells us how he met his brother's older brother, who is always late. He was surprised to find out that his older brother was also late, and so he invited him and his family over.
