Even a carefree father still wants it. He's worried that he's being too soft with his kids, and that they're being too hard on him. He wants to run away and tell them that they shouldn't be talking about asumi and that he should be more attentive to his son. But he can't do that, because he thinks that he has a right to talk about it, even if it's just to himself. He also thinks that if only he had yuki around, he wouldn't have to do what he does, because yuki would be able to get what he wants without thinking about it. Oh yeah, and he'd have more time to spend with his son, because that's the only way he knows how to do it. Mary comes down with a fever, and she begs to be left alone with her dad. He tells her to come to his house and get her fever down, but she won't listen, because she'll be late for her mother's visit. She'll have to stay home and take care of the fever herself, since she's still a child, and since her mom is still a parent to yuki. She doesn't even need to call her mom, though, because as long as she takes care of her own health, she can just go and visit yuki whenever she likes
