We learn that the two men have managed to land, and that they're going to have to rest. Senior Brother tells them to go meditate and heal their wounds. He's going to look around and see if there's a way to get back to the real world. He wants to know what's wrong with the gate that leads to the underworld. He also wants to see if the inscriptions on the gate are really there. He thinks maybe they'll be able to get out of the gate and save themselves. The elder Brother tries to stop him, but he's already in the underworld, so he can't go anywhere. He begs the elder Brother not to let him go. He doesn't want him buried with a giant man like him
