In the middle of the forest, a woman appears. It's Longyan, and she's wearing the same clothes that Longyan was wearing when he fell in love with her. Longyan is worried that he's going to get caught in the crossfire between Longyan and the woman, and he tells his brother to hurry back home and not worry about Longyan's family. But Longyan doesn't want to worry about his family, so he leaves the woman alone in the woods. He asks his brother if he can catch up with Longyan. He wants to know who Longyan really is, because he can't figure out who he really is without knowing who he is with. He also wants to ask Longyan if he really exists, and if he'll allow him and Longyan to live happily ever after. The woman runs away, but Longyan hears her calling and runs away. He's afraid that his primordial spirit has been taken from him and attached to his body. He runs to his brother and tells him to wait for him.
