The chapter opens with a description of the adult fairies who have gone to collect "pure energy" in order to grow up like them. When they grow up, they will be like the adults in the story. The narrator tells us that he used to wish he could be like his brothers, but he was destroyed by humans. Now, he wants to accompany his brother, who is also a human, on his journey back to the city of his birth. He asks the god of the city to bless him and his brother so that they can be happy in the future
